Australia's new motor sales growth accelerated in June, data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics showed Monday. New motor sales rose 1.7 percent month-on-month in June, which was faster than the 0.4 percent growth in May. Sales of all the categories of vehicles rose in June with sales of Passenger, Sports utility and Other vehicles increasing 1.3 percent, 0.2 percent and 4.8 percent, respectively. Among the territories, sales increased the most in the Northern Territory, by 17.7 percent in June. On a year-over-year basis, new motor sales fell 2.2 percent in June.
